Prunus walkeri is a species of plant in the Rosaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
ovate to oblong-lanceolate, rounded apex, pubescent beneath; young leaves densely golden tomentose; 2 circular glands at leaf base.
Trunk
Bark - smooth, reddish, horizontal lenticels; W- hard, close-grained, heavy, yellowish white, almond-scented.
Flowers
creamy white, solitary or I- axillary racemes.
Fruits
pubescent, globose, drupe.
Ecology
rain forest subcanopy, secondary forest gaps and fringes wet zone.
Uses
Wood -construction, fuelwood.
