Protestantism in Qatar

Protestants comprise less than 1% of the population of Qatar.[1] The constitution provides for religious liberty.[2] Proselytizing by non-Muslims is prohibited by law.[2] No foreign missionary groups operate openly in the country.[2] Religious groups must register with the Government for legal recognition.[2] Christians are subject to the Sharia. [2] Christian religious literature in English is available in bookstores.[3] In 2006 the first building of a church in 14 centuries was started.[3] It is built in Doha.[4] It includes a conference center and meeting rooms.[4]
