Protestantism in Brunei

Protestants are 1.3% (4,841 persons) of the population of Brunei. There have been 0.6% Evangelicals in 1996.[1]

Christians in Brunei are not allowed to proselytize. [2] Schools are not allowed to teach Christianity. [3] If religious organizations fail to register, its members can be aprisoned. [4] Teaching of non-Muslim religions in schools is prohibited. [5] Marriages between Protestants and Muslims are prohibited. [6] People, who change their religion from Islam to another, are subject to societal and official pressure.[7]
