Prosartes maculata (formerly Disporum maculatum) is a member of the lily family with the common name Spotted Mandarin or Nodding Mandarin.[1][2] It is a perennial plant that flowers in the spring.[3][4][5]
It is a native plant of the Great Smoky Mountains and occurs in other parts of the Appalachian region from northeastern Alabama to southern West Virginia and southern Ohio. Isolated populations are also reported from near Detroit, Michigan.[6]
