Project Nim is a 2011 British documentary film. It has won 16 awards, as well as being nominated for a BAFTA.
Synopsis
The film focuses on Project Nim, a research project that was mounted to determine whether a primate raised in close contact with humans could develop a limited "language" based on American Sign Language. The project was centred on a chimpanzee named Nim Chimpsky.
Release
The film was first publicly shown during the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and then released for public exhibition on 8 July 2011.

The DVD was released on 7 February 2012 by Lionsgate Home Entertainment.[1]
Reception
Project Nim was released to critical acclaim. The film has received 7.4/10 rating on IMDB and an aggregated score of 98% from 131 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.[2]
