Priyanshu Chatterjee (Bengali: প্রিয়াংশু চ্যাটার্জী; 20 February 1973) is an Indian film actor and former model. He marked his debut in the 2001 sleeper hit, Tum Bin. Prominent mostly in Bengali films, his Bollywood films include his debut Tum Bin, Dil Ka Rishta, Pinjar, Julie, Madhoshi, Bhootnath and Rajdhani Express among others.

Early life and education

Born on 20 February 1973 in New Delhi, India, Priyanshu graduated from Delhi University before he took up modelling.

Career

Modeling

Priyanshu Chatterjee started his modelling career working with projects such as Digjam's Print Campaign, Wills Cigarettes, Levi's & Four Square.[1][2]

Following this, he appeared in a Udit Narayan music video .[3]

Acting

Priyanshu made his acting debut with Tum Bin (2001), a romantic drama which the Box Office India declared as a sleeper hit.After the success of Tum Bin The Director of the film Anubhav Sinha Decided to cast Priyanshu Chatterjee in he`s next project which was Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai co-starred Sakshi Shivanand Om Puri and Farida Jalal But this film would not repeat the success of Tum Bin so as it was declared as disaster by box office India and this ended the director and actor for working in future.In the same year he starred in two more films Dil Ka Rishta co-starring Aishwarya Rai and the other film being Pinjar which once again starred Sandali Sinha.In 2004 he starred in three unsuccessful films Woh, Julie and Madhoshi.In 2008 he got a small role in the multistarrer Bhoothnath where he played the son of Bhoothnath portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan.[4]
