Price & Myers is a firm of Consulting Structural and Civil Engineers founded in 1978 by Sam Price and Robert Myers.[1] The practice is notable for the revival of the Royal Festival Hall with Allies and Morrison,[2] the restoration of Astley Castle with Witherford Watson Mann Architects, which won the RIBA Stirling Prize 2013,[3] and its involvement in Slipstream, the 78-metre long sculpture in Heathrow's Terminal 2 with artist Richard Wilson, curated by Futurecity.[4]

History

Price & Myers became a Limited Liability Partnership in 2003[5] and currently has offices in Nottingham, Oxford and London. The company has specialist Structures, Geometrics, Infrastructure and Sustainability teams. Over 23,000 projects have been completed by the practice since it was founded and they have been involved in various award winning projects including the Stirling Prize 2013 for the restoration of Astley Castle with architects Witherford Watson Mann,[6] the Stephen Lawrence Prize for Montpelier Community Nursery with AY Architects[7] and the Wood Awards Gold Award and Structural Award for Bishop Edward King Chapel with Niall McLaughlin Architects, which also won Civic Trust Awards and was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize 2013.[8][9][10]
