Premada Putri (Kannada: ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಪುತ್ರಿ) is a 1957 Indian Kannada language film directed, produced and enacted by R. Nagendra Rao.[1] Besides Nagendra Rao, the film stars Udayakumar, Sandhya and Gummadi Venkateswara Rao in the pivotal roles. Veteran cinematographer and son of director Nagendra Rao, R. N. K Prasad was introduced in this film. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada at the 5th National Film Awards.[2] The film had the musical score and soundtrack composed by H. R. Padmanabha Shastry and T. G. Lingappa to the lyrics of R. N. Jayagopal and Prabhakar Shastry.
