Prag Cine Awards are presented annually by Prag Channel, a satellite television channel from Assam. The aim of the award to give support, recognition and inspiration to the Assamese film industry and honour some of the eminent film personalities who have contributed to the cause of Assamese cinema of Assam. The award was first instituted in the year 2003.[1][2]

Current awards

The 2014 edition of Prag Cine Awards will be held at the NGV Indoor Stadium in Koramangala, Bagalore on March 22. Incidentally, this is the first time Prag Cine Awards to be held outside Assam.[3][4]

List of Awardees 2014

Prag Cine Awards 2014 were given away in a glittering event held yesterday at NGV Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru. Veteran litterateur Arun Sharma, Kannada film director Nagathahalli Chandrashekhar and Bolywood film actress Mahima Chaudhary inaugurated the event.

Actor Adil Hussian received best actor award in the function while the best actress award has gone to Jaya Sheel.
