Practicus is an international project & change management business focused on helping organisations change. Founded in March 2004 by Jason Luckhurst, Paul Wandless and Boyd Kershaw, the company offers a range of professional services, including consultancy through its 'Outcome Delivery' division, interim management and Executive Search through its Strategic Hires division.[1] The company has 3 offices across the UK, 2 offices in Australia and an office in Hong Kong. Its strapline is 'The Outcome Delivery Partner' [2]

Growth & Development

The company featured in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 two years running in 2008 and 2009 (15th and 52nd position respectively). This has now been followed by the opening of an office in Sydney, Australia on 2 November 2009 and subsequently in Melbourne in June 2010.[3]

In 2013, Practicus opened an office in Hong Kong [4]

In 2014, Practicus appointed a new CEO - Darren Tolhurst taking over from Jason Luckhurst who is now a Non Executivce Chairman

In 2013, Practicus entered The Sunday Times International Track 200 in 27th position for fastest growth in overseas sales.[5]

In 2013, Practicus was again one of the The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For [6] appearing in the Top 50.

In 2010, Practicus featured 13th in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For. Practicus obtained the full 3 star accolade for exceptional achievement in this first year of application. This is the most important accolade awarded by Best Companies. “Practicus were the highest first-time applicant within the Best Companies top 100 this year,” said Faye Bewley, COO of Best Companies. “Their achievement is to be congratulated.” [7]

In 2009, Jason Luckhurst was awarded the Institute of Directors Young Director of the Year Award [8]

Ethics & Corporate Social Responsibility

In July 2009, Kershaw, Luckhurst and Wandless travelled to South Africa with Sir Richard Branson [12] to provide coaching and mentoring to local potential entrepreneurs as part of the Branson School of Entrepreneurship.[13] The Branson School of Entrepreneurship was set up in 2006 by a partnership of Virgin Unite, the non-profit foundation of Virgin, and Taddy Blecher, the founder of CIDA City Campus, a university in Johannesburg. Commenting on the trip in an article in the Sunday Times in December 2009, Branson wrote "This summer we took the management team at Practicus, No 52 in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100, to see the school. They are keen to use their experience to help these fledgling businesses. It is refreshing to see that even during the toughest of times, entrepreneurs who are still building their business are putting something back into the wider world."
