The Portugal national beach soccer team represents Portugal in international beach soccer competitions, and is controlled by the FPF, the governing body for football in Portugal. They were the first team to put Brazil out of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, having done so in the 2001 and 2005 semi-finals and the only so far to do it in Brazil, curiously on both occasions. The team is currently ranked 3rd in the world.
