Port Talbot Power Station is a proposed 1,100 MWe natural gas-fired power station, and 350 MW biomass power station, in Port Talbot, situated in Neath Port Talbot county borough, Wales.
History
The power station is projected to cost £500 million, and be completed around 2012. It will be built by ESB International (the electricity supply company of the Republic of Ireland). It will be sited near the docks and steel works.
Specification
It will be a CCGT-type power station that runs on natural gas.
