Popu Lady is a five-member Taiwanese girl group based in Taiwan. The group was formed in 2012 and is managed by HIM International Music. The name of the group stands for "popular lady", which expresses the desire of the group to gain popularity through its songs, and give a girly and mature look at the same time.[1][2]

Biography

After training for a year in singing and dancing, Popu Lady debuted on 14 December 2012 with the extended play Keep Keep Loving and the homonymous song, cover of Norwegian female group M2M's "Pretty Boy".[1][3] Keep Keep Loving entered the Top 10 Best-selling chart in Taiwan when it hit the stores,[1] and the title track's music video reached 200.000 views in six days and more than 800.000 after one month.[4] In 2012 Popu Lady also sang "Feel Me" with Jiro Wang for TV series KO One Return soundtrack. On 13 September 2013, they released a second EP, Popu Future,[5] and, on 22 August 2014, a third one titled More. They sang "Honey" (蜜糖) for TV series Say I Love You soundtrack.

The group hosts variety shows East Network Pop U Show (東網 Pop U秀) since 11 August 2014, and occasionally Love Blog (初戀誌).[6] Many of their songs were featured in TV series like Spring Love, Fall in Love with Me and Go, Single Lady.
