The Pontypridd and Rhondda Valley Tramway operated a tramway service in Pontypridd and Porth between 1888 and 1902.[1]

History

The Pontypridd and Rhondda Valley Tramway began operating horse-drawn tramway services in Pontypridd in 1888. The tramway was run by Solomon Andrews until 1898 when he sold it to British Electric Traction.

Closure

The local authorities in Pontypridd and Rhondda purchased the tramway in 1903 and divided it between them to operate Pontypridd Urban District Council Tramways and Rhondda Tramways Company.
