Polygamy in Morocco
Owing to recent legal restrictions imposed by the government of Morocco, polygamous marriages are nearly nonexistent.
Even with these new limitations, polygamy is still practised by a good number of Muslims living in the nation. However, according to various reports from outsiders, Morocco is said to be one of the least accepting of polygamy in the Muslim world, probably because of the legal restrictions enforced by the government.
