Polyalthia korinti is a species of plant in the Annonaceae family. It is endemic to South Asia.
Leaves
ovate, elliptic or lanceolate, acute to obtuse base, acute apex, lateral veins 5-10 pairs.
Trunk
young branchlets yellowish pubescent.
Flowers
green, solitary or in 2's from leaf axils or woody tubercles of branches.
Fruit
bright crimson, succulent, globose fruitlets.
Ecology
riverine forest, mangroves, distributed vegetation
Uses
fruits - edible.
Culture
Known as "උල් කෙන්ද - ul kenda" in Sinhala language.
