Polyalthia cerasoides is a species of plant in the Annonaceae family. It is found in China, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, India, and some other Asian countries.
Leaves
narrowly elliptic, obtuse to truncate base, long-acuminate to obtuse apex, lateral veins 7-10 pairs, soft pubescent beneath.
Trunk
branchlets yellow and densely pubescent.
Flowers
green, solitary.
Fruit
red, numerous rounded to ellipsoid, sparsely pubescent fruitlets.
Ecology
monsoon forest, scrub.
Culture
Known as "පට්ට උල් කෙන්ද - patta ul kenda" in Sinhala Language.
