The Polegreen Church, also known as the Hanover Meeting House, is the site of the first non-Anglican church in Virginia. The site is in rural Hanover County, at 6411 Heatherwood Drive in Mechanicsville. The meeting house was built in 1743, not long after the First Great Awakening reached Virginia. The church was destroyed during the 1864 Union Army advance on Richmond in the American Civil War.[2]

The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.[1] It is open to the public free of charge.
