Podesta Baldocchi

Podesta Baldocchi is one of the oldest operating flower shops in San Francisco founded in 1871.[1] The shop was featured in Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 film Vertigo.[2] There have been many changes made to Podesta Baldocchi over the years but it still remains one of the most celebrated florist shops in San Francisco. In November 2001, San Francisco native Marc Rovetti took ownership of Podesta Baldocchi. Marc's father moved here from Italy in the 1950s and worked at Podesta Baldocchi before he went on to own his own floral business. Stephanie and Jason Braatz, floral artisans who own another famous San Francisco Financial District floral business, purchased Podesta Baldocchi from Marc in the late summer of 2009.
