Pleine Vie is a French language monthly general interest and women's magazine published in Paris, France.

History and profile

Pleine Vie was established in 1997.[1] Its founder was Antoine Adam.[2][3] The magazine was part of Groupe Taitbout.[4] In July 1999 the magazine was acquired by the British media firm EMAP.[2][5][6] The magazine had been published by Hachette Filipacchi until 2001 when it began to be published Quebecor World Inc.[7]

The current owner of Pleine Vie is Mondadori France,[8] a subsidiary of the Italian media group Mondadori.[1][9]

Pleine Vie is published monthly.[4][8] The magazine offers articles towards women over 50s[4] and is edited by Jeanne Thiriet.[1]

Circulation

The circulation of Pleine Vie was 825,000 copies in 1998[10] and 823,000 copies in 1999.[5] In 2000 its circulation rose to 1,021,000 copies.[11]

In 2005 Pleine Vie sold 967,812 copies.[12] In 2007 the circulation of the magazine was 913,000 copies.[13] The magazine had a circulation of 854,000 copies in 2009[14] and 854,366 copies in 2010.[15] In 2012 the magazine had a circulation of 786,650 copies.[1] In the period of 2013-2014 the circulation of the monthly was 786,515 copies, making it the second best-selling general interest magazine in France.[8] Its circulation was 703,909 copies in 2014.[16]
