Plasmodium bubalis
Plasmodium bubalis is a parasite of the genus Plasmodium subgenus Vinckeia.
Like all Plasmodium species P. bubalis has both vertebrate and insect hosts. The vertebrate hosts for this parasite are mammals.

Description
The parasite was first described by Sheather in 1919 in the buffalo.[1] Several subsequent reports have confirmed the existence of this species. (Bubalus bubalis).[2][3]
