The Pirate Shantyman and his Bonnie Lass is the name of a Boston-based musical and comedy entertainment duo consisting of Travis Dewey (b. Beverly, Massachusetts, March 4, 1971) aka "Fingar Pickingood" and Alicia Rae Grant (b. Tewksbury, Massachusetts, February 24, 1986) aka "Bonnie Lass". They are known for their performings at several notable Renaissance festivals, such as Arizona Renaissance Festival, Pennsylvania Renaissance Festival, Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, Colorado Renaissance Festival, Castle of Muskogee (e. g. Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival,[1] Louisiana Renaissance Festival,[2] Carolina Renaissance Festival,[3] Michigan Renaissance Festival,[4] Ohio Renaissance Festival, etc.), where they present predominantly rollicking tunes, sea shanties and English, Scottish and Irish drinking songs.
Travis (voice and guitar) portrays the character of ship’s master gunner and shantyman "Fingar Pickingood", an English pirate from the ship "Burning Betty".
Alicia (voice and squeezebox), who attended the Tewksbury Memorial High School, plays "Bonnie Lass", a bubbly pirate who accompanies with Fingar's music.[5]
Their slogan: "Comedy and Music and Fun that's brought to you by the letter RRR!"
