Pipestone Municipal Airport
Pipestone Municipal Airport (ICAO: KPQN, FAA LID: PQN) is a city-owned public-use airport located one mile southeast of the central business district of Pipestone, a city in Pipestone County, Minnesota, United States.[1]
Facilities and aircraft
Pipestone Municipal Airport covers an area of 295 acres (1.19 km2) which contains two runway designated 18/36 with a 4,302 x 75 ft (1,311 x 23 m) asphalt surface and 9/27 with a 2,539 x 221 ft (774 x 67 m) turf surface. For the 12-month period ending September 23, 2010, the airport had 8,200 aircraft operations, an average of 22 per day: 99% general aviation and 1% military. At that time there were 11 aircraft based at this airport: 10 single-engine and 1 multi-engine.[1]
