Reception

Shanea Goldizen of Library Point describes Pinkalicious as '...a colorful, scrumptious feast for the eyes and will keep your kids reading and re-reading...'[1] The Children's Book Guide although finding the story 'pretty entertaining, and it would certainly be a hit with girlie girls or just about any pink lover.' also stated that 'It wasn’t one of my particular favorites, but that’s just because I am not usually a fan of children’s books that blatantly play off of gender stereotypes and are geared strictly towards one sex.'[2] Publishers Weekly found that the 'text may be literal and obvious, but the artwork creates enough visual interest to keep pink-loving gals involved in this tale of wonderful-to-wretched excess.'[3]

Other Media

The Pinkalicious series also includes combined book packs, sticker and activity books and audio books.[4] Pinkalicious has been staged as a musical in various theatres including New World Stages.
