Pinang Tunggal

Pinang Tunggal is a small town located at the northern part of Seberang Perai Utara district, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia while the Kampung is situated in the Kedah state. It is 10 km (6.2 mi) from Kepala Batas.

Pinang Tunggal sign can be seen in Bertam and Sungai Petani Selatan here. It is situated in the middle of the Bertam-Sungai Petani road now. The Pinang Tunggal railway bridge are beautiful and unique. It is built to let the rail to pass throught the Sungai Muda River. It's design can compare with the country in Europe there. It is special than the new road bridge passing Muda River.

There is a new road completed for the motorist traveled from Sungai Petani to Tasek Gelugor, George Town and capital Kuala Lumpur via Pinang Tunggal. Pinang Tunggal trunk road is a new old road done that it can become a border town of Penang.

With this newly-opened road, people will go straight and right turn to the Penang highway and exit to Kuala Lumpur faster. Formelly, they are having to go up to the Tikam Batu federal road and exit to Alor Star highway. The Sungai Petani Selatan exit is connecting with the Jalan Taman Sejati. Travelers in Pinangn Tunggal will be taking this upper bound exit to Kuala Perlis. The Sg. Petani (S) toll plaza had also been long extended similar with the Bertam toll recently. There are 5 tickets lanes and 2 Smart TAG lanes now. This is because the Sungai Petani's economy is keep on growing and it is no furter from Butterworth city.

While to Kuala Lumpur, motorists will be taking the Bertam highway Interchange. The Bertam toll is an 8 toll booths toll plaza. It is looking long as the toll plazas in Penang state are wider built. These are because majority of toll plazas in Penang are located on the big roads. Yet the Bertam toll are also have to build quite broad as this town is also situated in the district capital. Even the expressway sign also can be seen in Penang state here nowadays as it is not broad. People there will definitely look the Kuala Lumpur Alor Star sign which are the capital of the country and the second largest city of the country.

After extending the main road in PT, Alor Setar is just 70 kilometres away and the way to Gerik and Kuala Lumpur is also just pass through the new main road and the Butterworth highway only. Therefore, it is as easy as ABC for the people here to travel to many of the cities only.

The town's main activity is the cultivation of paddy and vegetables. A KTM Intercity railway station is located in this town, and it is linked to Kuala Lumpur and Sungai Petani via the North South Line.
