Pikrolimni (Greek: Πικρολίμνη) is a former municipality in the Kilkis regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kilkis, of which it is a municipal unit.[2] Population 7,395 (2001). The seat of the municipality was in Mikrokampos. From Mikrokampos, there was the great Macedonian Fighter of the area, during the Macedonian Struggle, Ioannis Koutsokostas. Another Macedonian fighter from Mikrokampos was, Evlampios Vyziinos. Xylokeratia is an historical village, named Klitae in ancient times.
