Pijush Ganguly is a Bengali film, television and theater actor. In 2005 he got the BFJA award for the Best Actor In a Supporting Role for his performance in Mahulbanir Sereng.
Career
Pijush Ganguly started his career as an employee of NABARD but later moved on to pursue a career in acting. He started acting out of passion in the stages of Kolkata. He is actively involved with the Bengali Theatre scene and performs in various plays. He has worked with notable thespians such as Bratya Basu, Bibhas Chakraborty, Arun Mukherjee and Ramaprasad Banik among many. Some of his work includes Jestha Putra, Akarik, Madhav Malanchi Kanya, Jochhona Kumari, Virus M, Babli, 17 July, Mrityu-Ishwar-Jounota, Brain, Cinemar Moto, Surantar, Galileo Galilei, etc.
Pijush Ganguly is a well established and popular actor in the Bengali Television industry.
He has worked in lead roles in telefilms with pioneer directors such as Anjan Dutta, Kaushik Ganguly and also Tapan Sinha, Raja Dasgupta, Atanu Ghosh, Raja Sen, etc.
His is a well-known face in television serials over the last 20 years. He started his television career with Abar Jakher Dhan. Some of his popular TV serials are Janmabhumi, Sonar Horin, Megher Palok, Jol Nupur, Boyei Gelo, Chokher Tara Tui, Aanchol, etc. He hosted the reality show Ma vs Bouma.
He is also known to have an excellent voice for singing. He sings live on stage for many of his plays and has done the playback for many of his works.

Personal life
Pijush Ganguly was born and brought up in Narayanganj, Dhaka. Residence in Kolkata.He holds two Bachelors Degrees, in Commerce and Arts from the University of Calcutta.
During his school and college days, he had been a prolific goal keeper and may have pursued a career in the sport, if not for an accident.
He is married to Pamela Ganguly and has a son.
