Phyllodesmium jakobsenae is a species of sea slug, an aolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Facelinidae.

The specific name jakobsenae is in honor of diver and donator of marine slugs research Mrs. Wera Jakobsen.[1]

Distribution

The distribution of Phyllodesmium jakobsenae includes Bunaken Island, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.[2]

Description

The length of the slug is less than 30 mm.[2]

This species contains zooxanthellae of the genus Symbiodinium in the digestive gland (hepatopancreas).[1]

Ecology

Phyllodesmium jakobsenae feeds on sof coral Xenia.[2]
