Philippines at major beauty pageants

This is a list of Philippines' representatives and their placements at the Big Four international beauty pageants. The country has won all four pageants, two Miss Universe crowns (1969, 1973), one Miss World crown (2013), five Miss International crowns (1964, 1970, 1979, 2005, 2013) and two Miss Earth crowns (2008, 2014), making them the only Asian country to win all four titles.

In 2013, the Philippines won two titles, Miss World 2013 and Miss International 2013, to become only the seventh country (after France, Brazil, Australia, Venezuela, India and Ecuador) to win two titles in the same year.

Stella Marquez-Araneta's Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. have the franchises for both Miss Universe[1] and Miss International;[2] Miss World Philippines' Cory Quirino Global Quest, Inc (CQGQ) of Cory Quirino has Miss World;[3] and Ramon Monzon with Lorraine Schuck tandems of Miss Philippines Earth's Carousel Productions, Inc. has Miss Earth.[4]

The criteria for the Big Four inclusion is based on specific standards such as the pageants global prominence and prestige approved by worldwide media, the quality and quantity of crowned delegates recognized by international franchisees and pageant aficionados, the winner's post pageant activities; the pageants longevity, consistency, and history; the sincerity of the pageant's specific cause, platform, and advocacy; the overall pre-pageant activities, production quality and global telecast; the enormity of internet traffic; and the extent of popularity amongst pageant fans across the globe.[5][6][7]
