Philipp Tschauner (born 3 November 1985 in Schwabach) is a German footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for FC St. Pauli.[1]

Career

Youth and early in professional football in Nuremberg

After a year in the F-youth of TSV Wendelstein Tschauner began his career in 1995, when the first FC Nuremberg , where he went through all youth teams. Having already partially helped out in the 2003/04 season in goal for the second team of the FCN, he was 2004/05 for the third goalkeeper of the pros and goalkeeper of Bayern League -team of 1. FC Nuremberg.[2] On October 22, 2005 It was first against Arminia Bielefeld used in the Bundesliga.

In the summer of 2006 he moved to TSV 1860 Munich , where he signed a three-year contract. In the 2006/07 season he was the U23 goalkeeper of lions in the Regionalliga Süd , in addition to joining five appearances in the second division team of 1860, where he twice for Michael Hofmann came off the bench, who had been injured.

In preparing for the 2007-08 season coach explained Marco Kurz Tschauner the goalkeeper before Hofmann. Already on matchday be Tschauner but suffered a partial tear of the cruciate ligament in his left knee, so that Hofmann was used again. Tschauner also went into the following season 2008/09 as goalkeeper. But when Uwe Wolf Marco Kurz replaced in February 2009 as a coach, Tschauner was forced to resign in the second member while the gate of the lions was again guarded by Michael Hofmann again. However, this was injured after the 30. Gameday, so that at the end of the season again Tschauner stood between the posts.

In the summer of 2009, the 1860 undertook Gábor Király, declared immediately to the goalkeeper. Tschauner had to re satisfied with the item the replacement goalkeeper. FC St. Pauli

For the 2011-12 season Tschauner changes to just relegated from the Bundesliga FC St. Pauli , where he signed a contract until 2013.[3] There, he became an instant goalkeeper and took part in all 19 league games until in the last game the winter break - a 2: 0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt - a blast acromioclavicular contracted, which made him unfit for duty for several weeks.[4]

On April 1, 2013 the 27th round of the Bundesliga 2, scored in the 90th minute Tschauner the 2: 2 final against SC Paderborn 07 with a header after a corner kick from midfielder Dennis Daube.[5][6]

National Team

Philipp Tschauner was ten times for the youth teams of the DFB used. In 2004 he stood for the U-19 European Championship on call.[2] His first application but only later in the U-20 . He played a total of nine times, he was also the German squad at the 2005 World Junior Championships . His single application for the U21 he came on 15 August 2006 at the game against the Netherlands.[7]
