Philip Micklem

The Very Rev Philip Arthur Micklem, (1876–1965), DD was an eminent Anglican Priest in the mid 20th century.
He was born on 5 April 1876, educated at Harrow and Hertford College, Oxford and ordained after a period of study at Ripon College Cuddesdon in 1903.[1] After a curacy at Shere he was a Lecturer at St Augustine's College, Canterbury. From 1910 to 1917 he was a Canon Residentiary at St John's Cathedral, Brisbane [2] and Principal of Brisbane Theological College.[3] He was Rector of St James' Church, Sydney[4] from then until his appointment as the second Provost of Derby Cathedral.[5]

Micklem resigned in 1947 and died on 5 December 1965.[6]
