Philip Delaquis, (born 29 July 1974 in Bern) is a Swiss film and theatre producer, and member of the Swiss Film Academy and European Film Academy.

Life

Philip Delaquis lic. rer. pol., son of a Czech-Swiss family, graduated from the Universities of Bern and Berlin Humboldt. During his studies he organized small film festivals. After working for 10 years for Swiss Television (SRF), among others, as a producer for nature documentaries, he founded in 2005 together with Min Li Marti and Stefan Zuber the Zurich based production company Das Kollectiv GmbH (The Collective). This produced such award-winning films as Forbidden Voices (2012 Amnesty International Award, WACC-SIGNIS Award Nomination Swiss Film Prize) and the box-office hits Yalom's Cure (2014) and GURU - Bhagwan, His Secretary & His Bodyguard (2011). Other productions, which have garnered over 10 international awards, include: Soundless Wind Chime (2009) by Kit Hung and the successful theatre productions Dällebach Kari - The Musical (2010), Gotthelf - The Musical (2011) and Der Besuch der alten Dame - The Musical (2013).

Private Life

Delaquis is married to the costume designer Mareike Delaquis Porschka since 2014. Together they have a son (*2014). The family lives in Zurich and Spiez.
