Philip 'Phil' E. Baruth is an American politician from Vermont. Baruth is a Democratic State Senator from Chittenden County, Vermont.[1]
Baruth earned a B.A. from Brown University in 1984 and later a Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine. He has been a professor at the University of Vermont since 1993.[1]
First elected in 2010, Baruth was re-elected in 2012. He was subsequently named Majority Leader of the Vermont Senate.[1]
