The Phaegopterina are the largest subtribe of tiger moths in the Arctiini tribe, which is a part of the Erebidae family. It contains the arctiine tussock moths (a name more commonly associated with the Lymantriinae).

The subtribe was previously classified as the Phaegopterini tribe of the Arctiidae family.
