Phacelia purshii
Phacelia purshii (common name Miami Mist) is a spring flowering annual forb with blue flowers, which is native to eastern North America. It can be found in the Great Smoky Mountains north into the Great Lakes region, and in scattered locations elsewhere in Appalachia and throughout the Mid Atlantic region. It can also be found in the Canadian province of Ontario.[1] It grows in floodplain forests and alluvial clearings.[2] It is a member of the Phacelia genus, which used to be considered part of the Hydrophyllaceae family, but is now (as of 2013) placed within Boraginaceae.
