The Petersburg Generals are an amateur baseball team in the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate summer baseball league. The team plays its home games at the Petersburg Sports Complex in Petersburg, Virginia. The Generals first started participating in the Coastal Plain League in 2000. Although the Generals have only won 1 league title in their existence, they have been able to field many teams that played quite competitively, especially in 2003 when they finished atop the North division standings. Note: The Generals won the CPL title their first year in the league, the summer of 2000.
