Peter Jackson (biologist)
Peter Jackson was the Chairman of the IUCN Cat Specialist Group of the Species Survival Commission between 1983 and 2000. He is a world-renowned tiger conservationist who was involved in tiger research and conservation efforts since the late 1960s.[1]
The Malayan tiger was named Panthera tigris jacksoni to honour Peter Jackson' efforts for tiger conservation.[2]
