Peter J. Barber

Peter J. Barber (November 26,1830 – January 27, 1905)[1] was an architect and served as mayor of Santa Barbara, California. He moved to San Francisco in 1852, from Ohio, via Panama. He served as mayor of Santa Barbara during 1880-1881 and 1890-1891.[2]

He was "Santa Barbara’s most prolific architect of Victorian homes and buildings".[3] He designed several buildings that are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.[4]
