Peter Charles Knudson is an American politician. A Republican, he is a member of the Utah State Senate, representing the state's 17th senate district in Box Elder, Cache and Tooele Counties including Brigham City.
Early life, education, and career
Peter Knudson started his career in the military. [1] He was a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve. [1] Knudson has an A.S. from Weber State University, his B.S. from Utah State University, his D.D.S. from University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, his M.S. from Loyola University and a Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, Orthodontics, Loyola University. [1] Knudson met his wife, Georgie, in their senior year at the University of Utah. [2] She was engaged to someone else, and he was going steady. [2] After they had terminated their previous relationships, friends introduced them again and they began seeing each other. [2] Georgie attended Stanford University after finishing at the University of Utah while Knudson attended dental school at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in San Francisco. [2] By the end of their first quarter, they were engaged and they were married at the end of the school year in 1963. [2] They have four children. [2]
Peter Knudsen works as a orthodontics specialist at the University of Utah at the Greenwood clinic. He has a reputation for setting up appointments and not shown up for his patient appointments. This has happened multiple times, and he does not call in to cancel his appointments. He has stood up appointments for this writer's children in March/April 2014, and on April 30th, 2015 stood up several patients. When the hospital front desk called him several times, he did not answer his calls. When he did call back at 4 pm, he stated that he had too many things on his mind and so did not show up for this appointments. Talking to the hospital staff, we understand that he has failed to show up for his appointments multiple times, leaving the hospital staff to scramble trying to find him. The feeling is that since he is a Senator, the University Hospital is unable to discipline him. One lady who was stood up on April 30th, 2015, and another person filed a verbal complaint with the University of Utah hospital on that day. She complained that she was stood up and her appointment re-scheduled three times. A hospital staffer on hearing the complaint, said that his wife was also stood up by Dr. Knudsen three times. This is clearly an example of a state politician abusing the power of this senate position, and the University inability to discipline him.
