Perry Suckling (born 12 October 1965[1] in Leyton) is a former English footballer. He is currently Academy Goalkeeping Coach at Tottenham Hotspur.[2]
His career was famously damaged in 1989 when he kept goal for Crystal Palace in a club-record 9–0 defeat against Liverpool. He had previously been tipped as a potential England goalkeeper, but he was soon replaced at Crystal Palace by eventual England keeper Nigel Martyn, although he did remain at Selhurst Park as a reserve goalkeeper until 1992, having had loan spells with West Ham United and Brentford. He played his last senior game in England for lowly Doncaster Rovers at the age of 30, although he did play in South Africa and the English non-league divisions for a few years afterwards.
