It was the home of the Perth Lynx (now West Coast Waves) who play in the Women's National Basketball League and was the original home of five times National Basketball League champions the Perth Wildcats.

The arena seated approximately 1,500 people.

Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium was demolished in 2010, and was replaced by the WA Basketball Centre built over the road.
