Peringome is a town in Kannur district in the Indian state of Kerala.[1] It is 60 km north-east of Kannur town.
Kokkanisseri and Taliparmba (south}, Payyanur (west) and Nileswaram (north-west) are major towns nearby.
Mangalore Airport is about 88 km north. Payyanur Railway Station is the closest railhead. peringome is famous in terms of anti-nuclear struggle.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census, Peringome had a population of 13261 with 6388 males and 6873 females.[1]The village has a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp. The Director General of Police is K.V. Madhusudhanan.
