Percivale Liesching

Sir Percivale Liesching KCMG KCB GCMG KCVO (1895–1973), was a British diplomat and civil servant.

Biography

Born in London on 1 April 1895, Liesching was educated at Bedford School and Brasenose College, Oxford.

He held the posts of Permanent Under-Secretary, Ministry of Food, 1946–1948, Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations, 1949–1955, and High Commissioner in South Africa, 1955–1958.

He died in Sidcup, Kent, on 4 November 1973.
