Pentagón Jr. (born February 26, 1985)[1] is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler. He is signed with Asistencia Asesoría y Administración, where he is the current AAA World Tag Team Champion with Joe Líder and the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion with Sexy Star. He is also wrestling for Lucha Underground. His real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico, where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans.[3]

Professional wrestling career

Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (2010–present)

In 2010, Pentagón made his AAA debut and worked under the names of Dark Dragon and Zairus. However, he changed his name to Pentagón Jr. at Guerra de Titanes 2012 on December 2, joining La Sociedad.[4][5] On March 17, 2013, at Rey de Reyes, Pentagón participated in the Rey de Reyes tournament, but was defeated in the first round against El Mesías.

On August 18 at Héroes Inmortales VII, Pentagón entered the 2013 Copa Antonio Peña, but was defeated in the first round by El Hijo del Fantasma.[6][7][8] On March 16, 2014, at Rey de Reyes, Pentagón participated in a Lucha de Apuestas eight-man Domo de la Muerte.[9][10][11] On August 17 at Triplemanía XXII, Pentagón participated in a match for the AAA Fusión Championship and AAA Cruiserweight Championship, but the match was won by El Hijo del Fantasma.[12][13] On November 17, Pentagón Jr. joined the Los Perros del Mal stable.[14] On December 7, Pentagón Jr. and his new stablemate Joe Líder won the AAA World Tag Team Championship by defeating Los Güeros del Cielo (Angélico and Jack Evans) and Myzteziz and Fénix in a three-way match.

Lucha Underground (2014–present)

In August 2014, Pentagón was announced as one of five AAA wrestlers to star in Lucha Underground, a new American television series on El Rey.[15][16] Pentagón debuted on the third episode on November 12, where he was defeated by Fénix in a three-way, also including Drago.[17] Over the next weeks, the two real-life brothers developed a storyline rivalry between them.[18]

On February 11, 2015, Pentagón started a storyline about him breaking his opponent's arms, calling them sacrifices for his master. On April 1, 2015, Pentagon participated in a tournament to crown the first LU Trios Champions. Pentagon, Sexy Star and Super Fly were defeated by Big Ryck, The Mack and Killshot. After the match, Pentagon tried to break Super Fly's arm, but Star saved him. On April 8 2015, Pentagon attacked Star and Fly, breaking Super Fly's arm. On April 22, 2015, Pentagón was defeated by Sexy Star.

Personal life

Pentagón Jr's. father and two brothers are also professional wrestlers; his father worked as Fuego, while his brothers perform under the ring names Fenix and Niño de Fuego.[2]
