Pelita Harapan University

Pelita Harapan University (Indonesian: Universitas Pelita Harapan, UPH) is a private university located in Lippo Village (ID, see: Lippo Karawaci), Tangerang, Indonesia, under Pelita Harapan Education Foundation (Indonesian: Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan). In 2007, The University opened UPH Surabaya [1] and UPH Medan in 2014.[2]

Founded in 1994 with the vision of educating a new generation of leaders for Indonesia and the wider ASEAN region, Pelita Harapan University has become a leading private university in Indonesia. UPH has been ranked as number one private university in Indonesia according to the QS World University Ranking 2013.

UPH was the first University in Indonesia to introduce programs entirely taught in English, the first to offer a liberal arts curriculum, and the first to introduce a multi-disciplinary approach to its programs. From a visionary beginning in 1994, Universitas Pelita Harapan is now moving on to new heights as a Global Campus, with International Programs and e-learning systems supported by a Digital Smart-Campus. While consistently underlining the vision of “knowledge, faith and character”, UPH in cooperation with overseas partner universities, has developed a very rich curriculum in many areas study, ensuring that its graduates will be respected globally and appreciated by modern business and industries. UPH has expanded strategic partnerships with prestigious overseas universities, such as The National University of Singapore, Queensland University of Technology, Biola University in US, Ilmenau University of Technology, Xiamen University in China, just to mention a few. Residence halls

The MYC Dormitory opened in 2006.[3] Teacher College Dormitory opened in July 2006. Students at the university's teachher's college are assigned to this dormitory.[4]

Secondary school

UPH has an affiliated secondary school, called UPH College. There is a dormitory for students of the school.[5]
