Peddapalli-Karimnagar-Nizamabad railway line is a Single broad gauge line in the Indian state of Telangana. It connects Peddapalli in Karimnagar district (Secunderabad Division) to Nizamabad city in Nizamabad District (Hyderabad Division) of South Central Railway zone. It shortens the distance compared to alternative Kazipet-Secunderabad-Nizamabad line. This line directly connects the cities Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad of Northern Telangana.[1]

At present, the railway line is completed up to Armoor in Nizamabad district. Another 25 km line needs to be laid between armoor-nizamabad to become a line fully operational. Peddapalli Railway station is located in Kazipet-Ballarshah sections of Grand Trunk lineDelhi-Chennai line and Nizamabad Railway Station is located in Secunderabad-Manmad railway line.

At Present, four services are running between jagityal and peddapalli sections like Karimnagar tirupathi sf express, jagityal karimnagar demu, jagityal peddapalli demu, Karimnagar sirpur demu are running in this line.

History

Peddapalli-Karimnagar-Nizamabad railway line (177 km) is sanctioned by P.V. Narasimha Rao,[2] 10th Prime Minister of India in the year of 1994.[1] Peddapalli-Karimnagar railway line completed and train service was started in 2001. Karimnagar-Jagityal line is completed and demu service has started in 2007. At present, the railway line is completed up to Armoor in Nizamabad District. Another 25 km line has to be laid to complete this line and this line will be fully operational by 2016.
