Pedavadlapudi is a village in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Mangalagiri mandal of Guntur revenue division.[2][3]

Geography

Pedavadlapudi is located at 16°24'35.21" N 80°.36'40.92" E, and lies in Southern India. It borders the Revendrapadu to the east, Ippatam on the north, Mangalagiri on west and Chiluvuru on south.

As of 2011 Census of India, the town had a population of 13,076. The total population constitute, 6,552 males, 6,524 females and 1,090 children, in the age group of 0–6 years. The average literacy rate stands at 73.63% with 8,585 literates, significantly lower than the national average of 73.00%.[5]

Politics

Pedavadlapudi Sarpanch is Mr.Chittibomma Venkateswara Rao ,it comes under Mangalagiri assembly constituency and Guntur parliamentary constituency. Currently MLA of Mangalagiri is ALLA RAMAKRISHNA REDDY and MP of Guntur is Jayadev Galla.

Transport

Pedavadlapudi railway station is situated on Howrah-Chennai main line and is administered under Vijayawada railway division of South Central Railways.[6]
