Paysage d'Hiver

Paysage d’Hiver is a one-man ambient black metal^[1][2][3][4] band from Berne, Switzerland, formed in 1997. Sole member is Tobias Möckl a.k.a. Wintherr, also of Darkspace. “Paysage d’Hiver” is French and translates to “landscape of winter”; their songs’ lyrics address primarily winter, darkness, and out of body experiences.^[5] Wintherr has cited the Burzum albums Hvis lyset tar oss and Filosofem, among others, as an inspiration for his music.^[6] All of Paysage d’Hiver’s own material is released through Kunsthall Produktionen, a label Wintherr runs together with Nimosh of the band Nordlicht.

Discography

All demos after the Steineiche CD-R were first released on tape but have been rereleased as A5 digibook CD; Schattengang and Die Festung even as LP. ^[7] Further LP reissues are planned. All publications apart from the A5 digibooks are limited.
