Payne Center

The Payne Center is the University of Southern Mississippi's recreational sports center. The center houses high tech workout equipment as well as the offices of Recreational and Intramural sports.^[1] Southern Miss currently enjoys one of the highest intramural sports participation rates in the country among its students.

The building offers students extra incentives to work out by offering the "No Payne No Gain" program^[2] as well as offering a walking track suspended above the multi-use courts to provide a place to walk in inclement weather.

The Payne Center was donated from brothers Jimmy and Larry Payne.
