Pawan Kumar (Kannada: ಪವನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, born 29 October 1982) is a film director, actor and screenwriter in the Kannada film industry.[1] He is well known for the films Manasaare, Pancharangi, his directorial debut Lifeu Ishtene and the 2013 psychological thriller Lucia became one of the biggest turning point of his career. Being from a theater background, he used to write scripts for plays on stage before working as an associate director with Yograj Bhat.[2]

As a director
He debuted as a director with the 2011 hit Kannada romantic comedy film Lifeu Ishtene and went on to direct the critically acclaimed film called Lucia in 2013.[3] He is working on another crowdfunded movie called C10H14N2 which is under funding stage.[4]
